Trevor Booker is making the most of his increased P.T. for the Washington Wizards

Starting center JaVale McGee has missed two games in a row which got rookie 23-year old forward Trevor Booker into the starting lineup. Booker has averaged 40.0 minutes, 16.5 points and 12.0 rebounds per games in his 2 starts in place of McGee. Booker shot 14 of 19 (73.7%) from the floor in those two games. Booker has now played in 40 games (4 starts) so far in his rookie year for the Wizards and he is averaging 12.3 minutes, 4.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game on 53.7% shooting from the floor. The Wizards are going to have to find more P.T. for Booker and Yi Jianlian will likely be the player most likely to lose court time.

Memphis Grizzlies 107, Washington Wizards 93

The Wizards were outrebounded 44-35 and they didn’t play any D as the Grizzlies shot 50% from the floor which were the big reasons for the loss last night. John Wall led the way for the Wizards last night with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Trevor Booker got another start last season for the Wizards and he was outstanding again with 12 points and 12 rebounds in 35 minutes on the floor. Cartier Martin (12 points, 2 rebounds), Al Thornton (12 points), Rashard Lewis (10 points) and Andray Blatche (10 points) also pitched in for the Wizards last night. The Wizards are now 0-23 on the road and 13-33 overall this year.

Oklahoma City Thunder 124, Washington Wizards 117 in 2 O.T.

The Wizards were outrebounded 55-43 last night but it wasn’t until the 2nd O.T. period when they were outscored 14-7 that they were put away as they played hard until the end. Nick Young led the way for the Wizards last night with 32 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. Rashard Lewis also had a solid game with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 1 assist. Trevor Booker got a surprise start due to JaVale McGee not being available last night and he responded well with 21 points and 12 rebounds on 9 of 11 shooting from the floor in 45 minutes. Andray Blatche and John Wall each pitched in with 13 points apiece last night. The Wizards are now 13-32 on the season but 0-22 on the road!

The Wizards didn’t play any D last night as the Wizards shot 50.6% from the floor and it did them in. Nick Young led the way for the Wizards last night with 26 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot. Andray Blatche also filled up the stat sheet with 25 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 1 blocked shot. JaVale McGee (11 points), John Wall (10 points) and Yi Jianlian (10 points) also pitched in last night for the Wizards. The Wizards are now 13-31 on the year.

The Wizards got outscored 22-15 in the 4th quarter and it did them in last night. Nick Young (22 ppints, 1 rebound, 2 assists), Rashard Lewis (20 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assists and 1 steal) and John Wall (18 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists and 2 steals) led the way for the Wizards last night. JaVale McGee also had a solid game with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 1 blocked shot. Al Thornton pitched in with 10 points in 24 minutes off the bench last night. The Wizards are now 13-30 on the year.
