Caron Butler had a solid game with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Center Brendan Haywood had another really solid game for the Wizards with 10 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 blocked shots. The Wizards had to feel confident playing the Pacers without Jermaine O’Neal and Troy Murphy. But the Wizards cold shooting cost them this game as they only hit 36.4% of their shots from the floor. Gilbert Arenas led the way for the Wizards as he led them in scoring and hit a three pointer with less than a second left to send the game into OT. Arenas finished the game with 34 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Antwan Jamison was also a beast in this game as he scored 27 points, grabbed 16 rebounds and dished out 3 assists. Caron Butler was also active as he scored 19 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and stole the ball 3 times but he also missed some key free throws down the stretch. Brendan Haywood had one of the better games of his NBA career with 10 points and 13 rebounds. The Wizards are now 0-1 on the season.
