DeShawn Stevenson has decided to opt out of his contract and become an unrestricted free agent starting on July 1st.  The Wizards would probably like him back but only at the right price.  Stevenson had his best year of his NBA career but it ended badly in the playoffs as he played awful against the Cavs.  Stevenson started all 82 games last season and he averaged 29.5 minutes, 11.2 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.  Stevenson also shot pretty well for the Wizards last season as he hit 46.1% from the floor, 40.4% from three point range and 70.4% from the free throw line.

DeShawn Stevenson increased his career averages across the board due to him having his best season ever.  Stevenson has now played in 467 games (302 starts) and he’s averaged 23.1 minutes, 8.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.  He saw all of his shooting percentages rise as he’s now hit 43.2% of his shots from the floor, 33% from the three point line and 69% from the free throw line.
