Cleveland Cavaliers 97, Washington Wizards 90

Blogged under The NBA Playoffs, Bloglockers, Game Recaps, Front Page by alleyoop on Tuesday 1 May 2007 at 4:31 pm

The Wizards were pumped up by the crowd and they were up 67-66 heading into the 4th quarter, but then the Cavs took over.  The Wizards were outscored 31-23 in the 4th quarter and former Wizard Larry Hughes scored 18 points in the final 6 1/2 minutes of the game to sink the Wizards last night.  The Wizards were also bullied on the boards by the Cavs (45-36) and that helped do the Wizards in last night.  Antwan Jamison played another great game as he led the Wizards with 31 points and 4 rebounds.  Darius Songaila was great off of the bench with 16 points in only 19 minutes on the court.  Antonio Daniels did a good job of directing the offense with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists.  The problem with the Wizards is that three of their starters (Etan Thomas, DeShawn Stevenson and Jarvis Hayes) only combined to score 11 points on 3 of 18 shooting from the floor.  The Wizards played hard in this series but they got swept 4-0 by the Cavs.
