Two factors really propelled the Wizards to victory last night.  The first was that they outrebounded the Magic 50-38.  The other was the super second half the Wizards played as they outscored the Magic 69-48!  Antwan Jamison had a fantastic game with 31 points and 16 rebounds.  Gilbert Arenas also had a solid game with 30 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists.  Caron Butler also was very good with 21 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals.

The Wizards improved to 23-16 on the season with this win.  http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=270119019

The Knicks main focus was to stop Gilbert Arenas and they did a great job defending him, but, they didn’t do to well against Caron Butler and Antwan Jamison.  Caron Butler had the game winning dunk and wound up with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists.  Antwan Jamison pitched in with 21 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.

The Wizards improved to 22-16 on the season with this win.  http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=270117027

Gilbert Arenas wills Wizards to 114-111 win over the Jazz in Washington

Blogged under Game Recaps, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Tuesday 16 January 2007 at 7:30 pm

Gilbert Arenas just would not allow the Wizards to lost yesterday.  He hit the game-winning three-pointer as time expired, but it was his work before that shot that gave him the opportunity to make that shot.  Arenas scored 51 points, grabbed 3 rebounds and dished out 5 assists.  He also shot an amazing 7 of 13 from three point range.  Caron Butler also had a good game with 21 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals.

This was an amazing win for the Wizards as they looked like they were sleepwalking in the first half.  Their record improves to 21-16 on the season with this win.  http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=270115027

Antonio Daniels needs to pick up his play

Blogged under Need to step up, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Monday 15 January 2007 at 11:02 pm

The Wizards really need Daniels to step up when Gilbert Arenas or DeShawn Stevenson need a break.  He hasn’t played well at all this season.  His shot has been off as he’s only hitting 41.4% from the floor this season.  He’s played in 36 games and is averaging 22.2 minutes, 6.8 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.  The bench as a whole has not performed well, but the Wizards expect alot from Daniels and he hasn’t produced this year.
